Member of the Trustee Board - Treasurer SPEAR is looking for a new Trustee who has the financial ability to act as our Treasurer. Taking a full role in the governance of the organisation, you will have oversight of our finances, and report to the Trustee Board at regular intervals, while also offering appropriate support to our in house team.
You will be expected to attend quarterly Trustee Board meetings, and chair the quarterly Finance Sub Committee. Meetings are generally in the early evening, last around 2 hours, and are in Richmond or Twickenham.

Senior Outreach Worker
This position is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a small but dynamic team, working as a first point of contact for rough sleepers.
The team identifies and builds relationships with our clients, who are sleeping out on the streets in the Borough of Richmond. You will be responsible for carrying out assessments of need, looking at how we can support individuals with their physical and mental health needs, substance use and financial situation. In addition to securing accommodation, you will advocate on behalf of people who require access to specialist services.
While working with clients, you'll also act as the lead for the team, helping them make appropriate decisions, advising on housing law, and being the main point of liaison with the Local Authority Housing team.
This is a full time post (37.5 hours), for a fixed term of one year. The salary is £24,000 per annum.

Tenancy Support Worker
This Tenancy Support Worker position is part of our busy tenancy support team, working with clients with a range of support needs as they move and try to maintain their own tenancy. You will be part of the team which assesses the needs of vulnerably housed clients. You will assist allocated clients and their dependants with their housing needs, benefits, meaningful use of time etc.
You will have experience of delivering services aimed at vulnerable people as well as applicable knowledge of housing and homelessness in the UK.
This post is full time and permanent (37.5 hours). The salary is £22,500 per annum.

Floating Support Worker (Veterans) x 2
These Floating Support Worker posts are part of our busy tenancy support team, with a particular focus on those clients who have served in the British Armed Forces.
You will be part of the team which assesses the needs of vulnerably housed clients and veterans. You will assist allocated clients and their dependants with their housing needs, benefits, meaningful use of time etc. You will have experience of delivering services aimed at vulnerable people as well as applicable knowledge of housing and homelessness in the UK. Experience of working with veterans would be an advantage but is not pre-requisite.
The salary is £22,500 per annum, and the position is funded for one year by the Royal British Legion.

Lifeskills Course Development Worker
This post is for a Lifeskills Course Development Worker. SPEAR's Merton Young People's project has a long history of supporting young people to transform their lives. We motivate our clients to engage with meaningful activity, education and employment opportunities, as well as finding move on accommodation away from the streets.
This is an exciting, short term opportunity to create a new way of working for our service, and inspire real change in many clients for years to come. The successful applicant will redesign and improve our successful life skills training programme and produce basic education packs for homeless young people aged 16-25.
The post holder will also be responsible for training the staff team to deliver the course, and identifying appropriate outcomes to measure the success of the programme.
The salary is £22,500 per annum, for a fixed term 6 month contract.

Progression to Employment Worker
This post is for a Progression to Employment Worker (3 days per week, hours spread negotiable).
SPEAR is in the process of increasing the support we can offer to get our clients back to work. Working closely with our Skills Development Officer and a group of dedicated volunteers, you will lead our Job Club, ensuring that clients are inspired by and prepared for the employment opportunities open to them.
Using a three stage model of goal setting, action planning and tackling work barriers, you will provide 1to1 flexible support to SPEAR clients and other Job Club attendees.
As well as engaging and motivating clients, you will develop relationships with businesses in the community to create work and voluntary placement opportunities.
Salary is £22,500 Pro Rata 22.5 hours/week (£13,500 per annum)
