Tenancy Support Worker
£25,250 per annum
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract to 31 March 2023

For over 35 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to support homeless people to recover from their personal issues and gain support to overcome the barriers they face. We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Tenancy Support Worker to join our team in Sutton on a fixed-term contract to 31 March 2023.
You will work as part of SPEAR’s integrated services to provide a high quality, efficient, and effective service to clients who may be at risk of losing their accommodation and, in some cases, returning to rough sleeping and the accompanying vulnerability that this presents.
To provide person-centred support to ensure that clients are able to sustain their tenancies and avoid homelessness in an environment where the client feels that positive life change is both within reach and achievable.
Working in, and managing, accommodation-based projects to provide appropriate boundaries yet reactive support to tenants.
Identifying readiness and supporting client move-on to more independent accommodation in the community. Sustaining this with ongoing support where needed.
Effective liaison with other relevant agencies, professionals and stakeholders in order to ensure support around presenting issues such as substance misuse, physical or mental health.
You will have:
– The ability to work professionally with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Excellent problem solving, planning, and recording skills
