Celebrating Trustees’ Week 2020

Celebrating Trustees’ Week 2020

Trustees’ Week 2020 takes place on 2–6 November. It’s an opportunity to highlight the excellent work of Trustees, support boards to improve their governance and encourage new people to consider trusteeship and volunteering opportunities.

Trustees’ Week is an annual event showcasing the great work of just over 1 million Trustees (of which some 850,000 are in England and Wales, 180,000 in Scotland and 30,000 in Northern Ireland)

Trustees are volunteers who take on ultimate legal, strategic and oversight responsibility for an organisation’s work. They play a vital leadership role in any charity. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Coronavirus restrictions, we are not able to run any events in celebration of our Trustees. However, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Trustees at SPEAR for their time and dedication to our organisation. From April 2019 to October 2020, they contributed over 600 hours to supporting SPEAR.

This year we have added four new Trustees to the Board including long-running SPEAR volunteer, Wim. In this video, Wim talks about his involvement with helping out at events.
