Christmas is not fun for everyone

An increasing number of people this winter are facing homelessness.  Many are being made homeless as they cannot keep their homes, either due to debt, evictions, unemployment or family breakdown.

As always, SPEAR co-ordinate Street Count for the London Borough of Richmond.  This involved us going out on one night and counting rough sleepers on the streets.  To find out what we did last year please visit Street Count.

When the weather gets really cold and drops below zero degrees Celsius then SPEAR will organise Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) for rough sleepers.
