Enjoy a fun day out in the beautiful gardens of Richmond’s Trumpeter’s House in June to help raise money to help people who are homeless
SOUTH WEST LONDON – SPEAR London has announced that they will be holding a special family event at Trumpeter’s House on Sunday 23rd June 2019 to raise funds that will help local people who are homeless. The event, held in the famous gardens of the prestigious Trumpeters’ House, will see a whole host of family friendly games and activities taking place throughout the whole day from 11.30am – 5pm.
Baroness Van Dedem, owner of Trumpeter’s House and renowned artist, will be displaying a portrait of SPEAR’s founder; Penny Wade and offering to paint portraits of people (and pets!) in return for donations to SPEAR; just bring along a photo on the day so that the portrait can be painted after the event. The day will also see an impressive showcase of artwork from local artists and collectors that will be open for visitors to browse or buy, with many donated from local residents and businesses.
Fun for all the family
The gardens will be full of entertainment including a bake off competition with impressive cakes from local businesses, fabulous vintage clothes for sale, children’s activities and family games, a raffle full of exciting prizes, all set to live music from local bands and ensembles.
Stuart Nevill, CEO of SPEAR London, said “I am really excited to invite people in the local community to this event and would like to thank everyone who has been involved so far. Whether it’s donating artwork to be sold, local businesses donating cakes for the bake sale or families enjoying a great day out, the money we raise is vital for us to help people in South and West London find secure accommodation and work towards a positive future.’
Vital fundraising to help people in our local community
The event will raise vital funds for SPEAR to help people in South West London who are homeless, including those in Richmond, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Wandsworth. It will be a fantastic fun-filled event for all of the family with a chance to explore the beautiful gardens of Trumpeters’ House, see local artwork and be entertained by local musicians – all helping a brilliant cause.
Entry will be £3 for adults and children’s entry is free, there will also be light refreshments available to buy on the day (including wine, beer and soft drinks). The address is: Trumpeters House, Old Palace Yard, Richmond, TW9 1PD.
An appeal for art
There is already an attractive array of artwork ready for auction at the event, but SPEAR London would like to appeal to all local businesses and residents for any donations of paintings, pictures and photos that could be added to the collection by 23rd June.
