Our houses of multiple occupancies service is now back up and running in Kingston.

The houses of multiple occupancies (HMO) service in Kingston is a cluster of four medium support HMOs which provide 24 bed spaces for rough sleepers in Kingston upon Thames. Each client living in the HMO will be allocated a support worker who will assist them to identify and meet their goals and aspirations. Clients can live in the HMOs for up to 18 months and will work with their support worker around their move on options.

Our Kingston Resettlement and Tenancy Support team have been working hard to ensure that each house is a home. This has included decorating and furnishing the properties, installing CCTV to ensure our clients were safe, and making sure each room was set up for the client’s arrival. The team then worked with Kingston Council to get clients who were previously staying in hotels back into the HMOs.

We’re also really proud that we are now running a Housing First service in Kingston.

Housing First aims to get people who have slept rough and need more support into their own accommodation. Our Housing First workers wrap support around the client in order that they maintain and sustain their tenancy; this could include helping them set up their tenancy, utilities or benefits and then working with the client to address any other issues.

We’re really excited to have these two services up and running which will help us to ensure that our clients are getting the high-quality support they need.
