SPEAR supports four male only shared houses that serve as a bridge between living in the hostel, sustaining their tenancy and living independently.
These clients are supported by a key worker from SPEAR. Through their Key Worker, they are actively encouraged to access SPEAR’s other services such as education, training and employment, health, our service user group and the wider activities happening across SPEAR.
The men’s shared house provides a variety of support need levels for four residents. Residents usually stay for around six months to a year before they are ready to live more independently. Clients are taught about tenancy sustainment and independence, once they have moved on from our supported Hostel, Penny Wade House.
The men’s Emergency shared house offers a seven bed short stay accommodation for rough sleepers before they move on to private rented sector, hostels or individual flats.
A short-stay project for four young people experiencing homelessness aged 16-21 years. All residents work with a keyworker and are offered advice and referrals for housing. Clients are encouraged to participate in education and training and are supported to gain employment.
Supported accommodation providing accommodation for four clients with low to medium support needs. Rough sleepers can enjoy a period of stability and prepare for the transition into independent accommodation. Note: We also provide three accommodations for young people in Richmond, Merton, and Wandsworth (Wandsworth also listed above) – aged 16 to young adult.
