On Friday 9th June, a truly extraordinary event will take place in Twickenham. Elaine Samuels will host an auction of her late father’s work.
Desmond Jones studied at Twickenham School of Art during the Second World War and, although he spent his life in the fields of graphics and photography, he continued to paint for the rest of his life. Jones left a vast body of ‘hidden’ art after his death in 2013 and his daughter, Elaine, decided that this work not only deserved recognition but could also benefit some local charities at the same time.
SPEAR is thrilled to have been selected as one of the charities which will potentially benefit from the Extraordinary Art Auction. SPEAR’s chosen painting is Sacrifice.
BBC celebrity antiques expert, Charlie Ross is the auctioneer for the event, which will take place Richmond Upon Thames College.
Doors open at 5pm for registration.
Auction starts at 7pm
Admission is £3 on the door or via this booking link
