Tenancy Support and Resettlement is an integrated service for people who have been or are at risk of becoming homeless. Once a service user has been referred to us we can assess what kind of accommodation they would be suitable for and help them to access it. This could either be a temporary Rough Sleeper’s Initiative training flat, their own council nomination or a flat in the private rented sector.
SPEAR’s Tenancy Support and Resettlement support people in temporary and more permanent accommodation offering advice, resettlement and support to maintain their tenancies.
For those who no longer need the support we can signpost them to other appropriate agencies.
Using the “Outcomes Star” system, this team enables their clients to look at 10 different aspects of their lives. They consider their Meaningful Activities, Motivation, Independent Living Skills, Emotional Wellbeing, Finances, Accommodation, Health, Substance Use, Social Networks and Legal Issues.
This intensive support is offered to more than 70 clients in tenancies across the Borough.
The team works with Landlords who have studios or one bed properties, working to house applicants who have low to no support needs and who are ready to maintain a tenancy, at the same time as helping landlords to let their properties and reduce the amount of time they are empty.
SPEAR provides a commission and hassle free service to Landlords, setting up Housing Benefit so that it is paid directly to the Landlord and providing vetted and assessed tenants (including CCJ checks).
If you are a Landlord with studios or one bed properties in South West London:
Help us help people get their lives back together by providing them with a basic human necessity… shelter.
