SPEAR has been providing quality services to homeless people and rough sleepers for over 30 years and we now have an innovative opportunity for a Tenancy Support Worker to join our team on a part time basis in the Borough of Richmond.
You will work as part of SPEAR’s integrated services to provide a high quality, efficient, and effective service to clients who may be at risk of losing their accommodation and, in some cases, returning to rough sleeping and the accompanying vulnerability that this presents.
Duties will include:
To provide person-centred support to ensure that clients are able to sustain their tenancies and avoid homelessness in an environment where the client feels that positive life change is both within reach and achievable.
Working in, and managing, accommodation-based projects to provide appropriately boundaried yet reactive support to tenants.
Identifying readiness and supporting client move-on to more independent accommodation in the community. Sustaining this with ongoing support where needed.
Effective liaison with other relevant agencies, professionals and stakeholders in order to ensure support around presenting issues such as substance misuse, physical or mental health.
In order to apply for this role you must have the following:-
A good understanding of Housing Law and the Welfare Benefits systems.
The ability to work professionally with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent problem solving, planning, and recording skills

Salary: £22,500-£25,000 per annum (pro rata)
