Trumpeters’ House Art Fair And Garden Party Review – what a day!

Trumpeters’ House was a huge success and many people had a great day out. We estimate that over 400 guests turned up on the day!

We are glad to announce we raised over £4,500 net profit on the day. Money is still coming in.

Thank you to all of you who attended and donated as well as to our highly valued volunteers – we had over 40 volunteers involved in the event.  A special mention also goes to the following individuals and organisations who supported the event:

Bake Off

The Bake Off was really fun to watch with Selasi (2016 Bake Off Finalist) and the Mayor of Richmond sampling and judging the cakes.  Thank you to the following for their spectacular cake donations:

Some other generous organisations donated vouchers or cake for our stall. They were: Tesco Richmond, Waitrose Richmond, Marks & Spencer Richmond, Gail’s Bakery Richmond.  In addition, thank you to all the wonderful individuals who baked cakes for our cake stall, they were delicious.

Thank you to the Ivy café, Richmond for their generous 1st prize.  Also, for the individual champagne donor for the second prize.

Art and Art Competition

The wide array of artwork that was on show and available for sale was fantastic and on the day many people enjoyed having a look at what was on offer. Thank you to all the artists who kindly donated art.

Thank you to Ann Brown Craft Workshop and Starprint for donating vouchers for our art competition.


The music on the day was wonderful and complimented the event very well, especially with the hot weather that we experienced.  Thank you to the following music groups for their outstanding performances:

  • Richmond Youth Jazz Band
  • St Margaret’s Elastic Band
  • Wimbledon String Quartet


The raffle was highly successful on the day with many of our guests having some fun by purchasing themselves some raffle tickets. The prize-pool we had was astonishing, so we are very grateful to the following for donating the prizes:

Baroness Van Dedem

A huge thank you to Baroness Van Dedem for opening the grounds of her house for us to enjoy, as well as for her magnificent tribute portrait of our founder Penny Wade.
