Get support

Report yourself / someone rough sleeping

If you have nowhere to stay tonight or are sleeping on the streets, in your car or on public transport, the best way to get help is to make an alert through Streetlink. Streetlink is a centralised system which ensures that the information concerning your rough sleeping status is passed to the correct local outreach team who can then find you and offer support.

Click the button above or call 0300 500 0914 to raise an alert.

You will need to share details about where you are rough sleeping, what you look like and what clothes you are wearing

In an emergency, if you can’t keep yourself safe, are under 18, or accompanied by someone under 18, call 999.
For non-emergency: Police – call 101, NHS – call 111.

Please note that SPEAR do not provide emergency or direct access accommodation. Our accommodation is for those who have been verified as rough sleeping by our street outreach teams, as part of their pathway off the street.

Sofa surfing or facing eviction

If you believe you will be street homeless within eight weeks, due to an eviction or sofa surfing, make a homelessness application with your local council (you should also do this if you are rough sleeping).

You can make a homeless application online, or contact housing options directly:
