Shane wins at Richmond’s Community Heroes Awards

Last night our client and regular volunteer, Shane, won the Outstanding Volunteer category at Richmond Council’s Community Heroes Awards.

The Outstanding Volunteer award recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to their community during the past year through voluntary work with a group, charity or organisation.

This recognition celebrates Shane’s remarkable journey and his dedication to giving back, using his lived experience to support others facing homelessness. We are very proud of Shane and that all his work has been recognised in this way.

Shane’s achievements are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together to offer hope and opportunity. But with a shocking number of people still sleeping on the streets across London, our work is far from over. SPEAR’s services are needed more than ever to support those facing homelessness.

If you are able, please consider making a donation today. Your generosity will help us provide outreach, accommodation and life-changing support to more people in need. Together, we can help even more individuals find a place to call home.
